Welcome Becca: New Deputy DC for Rest of the World

We're delighted to welcome Becca Taylor to her new role as Rest of the World's new Deputy District focussing on Adult Learning and Support.

Becca's Scouting journey started out in Singapore in 2012 when my son started in Beavers. In what became 1^st Singapore, I had many amazing adventures leading the Beavers, then Cubs and eventually Scouts. I love the values that Scouting brings, how it provides a variety of opportunities to serve our community and the freedom for Young People to explore the world in which we live. Passionate to keep Scouting alive at our school, I took on the Training Advisor and Group Scout Leader roles.

Now back in the UK, I still have close links with Singapore and look forward to supporting the ‘Rest of the World’ with their Adult Learning.

Everyone across Rest of the World District and BSO wishes Becca every success in her new role.

World Scout Jamboree: Poland 2027

The 26th World Scout Jamboree will take place in Gdansk, Poland in the summer of 2027. The UK Scout Association has a long history of sending large number of Units (36 young people, aged between 14 and 18, and four leaders divided into four patrols) as part of a UK Contingent to attend World Scout Jamborees. The units represent each of the UK’s counties and countries/regions, with unit numbers be allocated based on the numbers of young people in each area.
