Welcome to Jordan, our new AAC Diversity & Inclusion

February 21, 2022

We're delighted to welcome and introduce Jordan Mccullough as our new Assistant Area Commissioner for Diversity & Inclusion.

I (Jordan) started Scouting at the age of 4 as a Squirrel with Scouts NI (Northern Ireland) and grown up within my original group at 1st Cullybackey in County Antrim where I am still involved when I travel home to see my family.

While during my time at Scouts NI, I have involved in various local roles in addition to being appointed as the first Assistant Country Commissioner for Inclusion.

In August of 2021, I relocated to France and transferred my Scouting experience and skills over to BSO within Southern Europe being involved as the DAAC Chair person on the interim and also as ADC Growth & Development which I continue to do alongside my area appointment.

Outside of Scouting, I am a Senior People & Culture Business Partner which means I partner with other senior internal business stakeholders to ensure that the people and human element of work is at the forefront of the decisions made.

British Scouting Overseas is looking for creative and technically minded volunteers to help us redesign and relaunch our website as we move from our current platform to WordPress. British Scouting Overseas supports Scouting for young people and adult volunteers across the world. Our website is an important place for members, parents, volunteers and new families to find information, access resources and discover how to get involved. We are now redesigning the site so it is clearer, easier to update and better reflects the adventure, community and impact of Scouting overseas. About the role We are seeking volunteers to join the BSO Website Team and help develop our new website. These roles would suit people who enjoy practical digital projects, can work collaboratively with others, and want to use their skills to support Scouting across the globe.
